Am I too young to run a Youth Alpha Course?

Brad Hawkes 22Jul2010

These days, the word ‘temple’ doesn’t really pop up that often, and when it does, we probably think of ancient places of worship in the Far East, or a tourist attraction we’ve seen on the Travel Channel. But the Bible speaks about temples over and over again.read more »

Worship on Youth Alpha

Al Gordon 18Jul2010

Worship is key to what Alpha is all about – giving people the chance to meet Jesus. When I was 18 a friend gave me a tape of worship music recorded at a gathering of about 10,000 young people. I remember putting the tape into my walkman (retro I know) and being blown away by the presence of God that seemed to fill my bedroom.read more »

Small Groups

Matt Costley 17Jun2010

The British band Coldplay wrote a song called ‘Square One’. It goes like this: ‘From the top of the first page/To the end of the last day/From the start in your own way/You just want somebody listening to what you say/It doesn’t matter who you are.’ I think these words pretty much sum up the way a lot of our generation feel about life.read more »

deep(ish) thoughts on a white chocolate magnum

Jamie Haith 02Jun2010

I will never forget the first time I ate one. I held the ice-cool package, covered in its fine foil wrapper, in my hot, shaking hand. I had heard about this frozen dairy delight from a friend. He had raved about it so much that I thought I should give it a try, if only to shut him up.read more »
