6am and on a train...
... Yes, that’s how far some people came from for the Youth Alpha Tour in Edinburgh!
And what an incredible day we had.
We absolutely loved meeting young people, youth workers and youth volunteers from across Scotland (Ayr, East Lothian, Glasgow, Edinburgh, North Berwick, Stonehaven... To name but a few).
As well as learning dance moves to The Logical Song, playing The Overly Competitive Balloon Game and eating lots of good food... We enjoyed times of worship, getting involved with small group role plays and thinking through how Youth Alpha might be used as a tool for evangelisation.
Seminars throughout the day were hosted by some of our legendary Youth Alpha Advisers where we looked at how we could get to grips with some of the practical aspects of Youth Alpha (like weekends away, live talks and what about after Youth Alpha).
One highlight included meeting a guy called Jamie who became a Christian last September on a Youth Alpha course... He had come along this time to get equipped to host a small group for the next Youth Alpha course.
We came away from Edinburgh BUZZING and are excited about young people reaching out to their mates and making Jesus the talk of Scotland!
Our next stop is in Worthing on Saturday 17th September and we’re heading all around the UK – come join us if you want to find out more... Click here to book and see if we’re coming near you!
