BOLT-ING OVER TO JAMAICA
What do a Lutheran, Roman Catholic, Non-Denominational and Anglican have in common?
Well they all love Jesus for starters! AND they all went and told people about Youth Alpha, in Jamaica…..
The USA team blasted out of the blocks (Usain Bolt-style) towards their goal of passing the tool of Youth Alpha onto leaders in Kingston, Jamaica at the latest Global Alpha Training (GAT).
Amid the fun, games, more games, and fellowship over the weekend, the team was aiming for a smooth hand-off of Youth Alpha to the teens, church leaders & school teachers that attended the training.
God moved!
He brought inspiration, equipping and encouragement to guests and team leaders alike.
Around fifty teenagers and adults from over six different denominations attended with over 23 organisations represented.
The guests told us they were encouraged to see a team comprised of a Lutheran, Roman Catholics, Non-Denominational and Anglican all with experience of running Youth Alpha.
That was a powerful testament to how God is using this tool across denominations to unite His church.
Let’s pray that as a result of this GAT, many young people meet with Jesus Christ on a Youth Alpha course in Jamaica soon.
More team stories, photos, and exciting guest feedback on the way…
Paul and Collette Sharp (Youth Alpha leaders in Jamaica) were joined by Wayne Theurer from San Diego, CA; a father and son team from Katy, TX - Christian and Andres Cuellar; and Rebecca Long the Youth Alpha Director in the USA.
