PUTTING A "SPRING HARVEST" IN OUR STEP!
Youth Alpha has just returned from spending a wonderful week in.....
....the sunny (and sometimes chilly) Skegness for Week One of Spring Harvest 2011.
It was such an amazing time of fellowship, teaching and worship for everyone. The theme this year -extremely cleverly called Route 66... For the 66 books of the Bible - covered the Bible as a Sonnet (love poem), Symphony, Screen Play and Street Map, focusing on knowing that God’s breathed word is always available to us – Amazing!
Highlights for the Youth Alpha Team included an epic rounders match on the golden sands, the last night ‘open mic night’ (so much talent!) and being asked to host ‘Just Looking’; a one hour session each day for those of us who are just testing the ground of Christianity.
We looked at BIG questions like: ‘who was Jesus?’, ‘why did He die?’ and ‘how can I make the most of the rest of my life?’. Each of the young people that we had the pleasure of meeting contributed to the discussions and we began to make new discoveries together.
Many of these questions are covered in the Youth Alpha course, so don’t fear if you missed Spring Harvest! Find a course near you (click here) and start asking those questions!
It was such an awesome privilege to meet such a wonderful group of people. We miss you all already! Spring Harvest 2011 certainly has put a spring in our step.
