If you had a million Shakespeares, could they write like a monkey....?

Being on the road can be a slightly lonely affair, so Youth Alf keeps us company wherever we go – at Soul Survivor, on the Youth Alpha Tour, for a coffee....... you name it and he’s probably there.

As well as loving to show off his monkey skills and those of his hero Kung Fu Panda, Youth Alf has a solid faith – and a lot of wisdom to share about Youth Alpha too!

So let’s meet Youth Alf, the monkey in charge...

Youth Alf, what’s your favourite drink?

Banana milkshake – what’s not to like?

What was the last film that you saw?

Everyone will be expecting me to say Planet of the Apes – but actually it was ‘Kung Fu Panda 2’ – he’s a personal hero of mine.

What do you do? What's your job?

There’s only one monkey round here. It’s a full time job.

Have you always been a Christian?

Ever since I was knitted.

Do you have any pets?

Don’t be ridiculous.

Do you like watching sport?

I am a big fan of all sports, although I find swimming doesn’t agree with my skin (knitted).

What would we catch you doing on a Saturday afternoon?

Either supporting a Youth Alpha Tour or Youth Alpha Weekend Away, or hanging out with my mates over a banana milkshake at the local skate park. I’m into skate boarding big time.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

Swinging from tree to tree – oh yeah....I can already do that! HA! Watch and learn people!

Beach, countryside or city?!

Urban jungle or real jungle.

Any interesting hobbies?

I’m a big fan of Facebook and I like my church youth group – we do quite a bit of stuff together.

If you were a muffin, what flavour would you be and why?

Why be a muffin when you can be a monkey?

Would you rather own a castle or a yacht?

A trampoline.

If you could wake up and have the ability to do one skill tomorrow, what would it be?

With my opposable thumbs I find that I’ve got most things covered.

Have you ever met a famous person?

As you know, I’m practically a celebrity myself so often get asked to high profile events.

If you could make any inanimate object alive, what would it be?

When you’re my size, you want the stapler to stay where it is – know what I mean….

Best game?

I’m currently working my way through the Youth Alpha games which are epic, but my personal favourite will be going up shortly.
