YOUTH ALF 02Dec2011

"I was well up for going to Belfast and seeing how Dave Dicko and his home team roll."

The day started with an extreme trestle table + gale force wind experience for Dave, which I could tell left him a bit shaken up, but he rallied with some infamous Northern Ireland treacle bread and was soon to be seen running his favourite game of 'Bog Roll Bowl'.

This is now a favourite of mine too and I'll make sure it appears on game of the week asap.

It was great to meet all the excellent delegates, some of whom are already running Youth Alpha, and some of whom are gearing up to run it for their friends in their communities - blogs from all of them coming soon!

Here’s what one of them had to say after the training day where we'd been through what Youth Alpha is, planning the next course, delivering a live talk and running small groups:

“We feel more inspired, Spirit filled, and confident that we can now run this Youth Alpha course in our own Church.”

The afternoon brought us an epic fail of the 'magic' chair trick, which was a first for the Youth Alpha Tour and can only be put down to the individuals not having the strength that we monkeys do. Never mind guys, watch and learn from the monkey.

Apart from that, the Monkeymagic was everywhere and it was great 'craic' as they like to say in Irish.
